Cookie Policy

Last updated: 27 August 2026

A cookie is a small text file that a site you visit leaves in your browser. The next time you come back, the site reads that file and remembers you. Güzelleş uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your interface preferences, measure how pages are used and see whether our promotional work produces results.

First things first: there is no cookie consent banner on our site

Güzelleş does not show a cookie consent banner when you arrive, so you manage your preferences not from inside the site but from your browser settings and your mobile device's permission screens. We explain how to do that step by step below. For the full picture of how your personal data is handled, see our Privacy Policy.

Which cookies does Güzelleş use?

We group the records we use into four categories. Only the first is essential; the other three can be blocked from your browser.

01 · ESSENTIAL

Essential / session and security

The records the platform needs in order to work. Without them you cannot sign in or create an appointment, and they cannot be switched off.

  • The identity token that keeps you signed in — technically not a cookie: it is kept in your browser's local storage (localStorage).
  • Technical records that secure requests to our servers, plus abuse and bot protection.
  • When you sign out, the session record is deleted from your device.
02 · PREFERENCE

Preference records

Small records used to remember the interface the way you left it. They are never used for advertising.

  • Your language choice is not stored in a cookie: Turkish pages are served at /, English pages at /en/ — the address itself is the preference.
  • Interface preferences, such as not showing the "download the app" bar again for a while after you dismiss it, are kept on your device.
  • These records stay only in the browser you used; they are not carried to another device.
03 · ANALYTICS

Performance and analytics

They let us understand which pages work, where you get stuck and how fast the site loads.

  • Google Analytics 4 (gtag.js): aggregate measurements such as visit counts, time spent on a page, device and approximate location.
  • Ahrefs Analytics: page view and traffic source measurement.
  • The aim is not to identify individuals but to see aggregate trends and fix slow or confusing pages.
04 · MARKETING

Marketing and measurement

Records that measure whether our promotional work produces results.

  • TikTok Pixel: measuring visits arriving from TikTok and the performance of our promotions.
  • Share tags: the ?ref= parameter in links you share tells us which share brought a visit. This is not a cookie — it travels inside the address and is not written to your device.
  • If this group is blocked, the site keeps working in full.

How do you manage cookies?

Deleting cookies, blocking them or allowing them only for certain sites is entirely up to you. If you block essential records you may not be able to sign in or may be interrupted midway through booking; blocking analytics and marketing records does not affect how the site works.

In desktop and mobile browsers

  • Chrome: Settings › Privacy and security › Third-party cookies / Delete browsing data
  • Safari: Settings › Safari › Advanced › Website Data; also "Prevent cross-site tracking"
  • Firefox: Settings › Privacy & Security › Enhanced Tracking Protection
  • Edge: Settings › Cookies and site permissions › Manage cookies and site data
  • Records created in your browser's private / incognito mode are deleted when you close the window.

In mobile app permissions

Our iOS and Android apps do not use browser cookies; measurement works through device-level advertising identifiers and app permissions.

  • iOS: Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking — you can switch off tracking requests from apps entirely.
  • Android: Settings › Google › Ads — you can reset or delete your advertising ID.
  • Notifications: The reminder we send 1 hour before your appointment can be turned off at any time from your device settings.

If you want to switch analytics off completely

You can disable Google Analytics measurement across all sites with the browser add-on Google publishes. The "block tracking" setting in most modern browsers also stops analytics and marketing scripts.

Third parties

Some records are created not by us but by the service providers we use. These providers process data under their own policies and their servers may be located outside Türkiye.

When you are directed to an app store (App Store, Google Play), that platform's own policies apply. You can find where to download the app on the Download page.

Retention periods

  • SESSIONYour sign-in token stays on your device until you sign out or clear your browser data.
  • PREFERENCEInterface preferences are short-lived; once the record is deleted, the element returns to its default state.
  • ANALYTICSThe lifetime of Google Analytics cookies follows the provider's default and can extend to up to two years.
  • MARKETINGMeasurement cookie lifetimes are likewise set by the provider and are usually longer than a year.

These periods are determined by third-party providers and may change over time; when you delete cookies from your browser they end before the period is up.

Changes to this policy

When the tools we use change, we update this page. The current text is always published at this address and the "last updated" date at the top of the page is refreshed. If there is a significant change, we also inform you through the platform. Your continued use of the platform means you accept the updated text.
